      which day the Kirk Session met and was constituted with prayer, led the Rev. Rob Ross Moderator, Messrs. Snell and Hutchison, Elders, and the Clerk
      Compeared Helen Shepherd, formerly residing in Logie Buchan now at Hardgate in this parish * concerning whom a letter was read from Mr. Gordon of Logie Buchan transferring the case to the Kirk Session of this parish. She accused JOHN CRUICKSHANK residing at Ardgrain in the parish of Ellon as the father of her child who being called for appeared and confessed the paternity. They were both serious rebuked by the Moderator and the soman was absolved from discipline, and admitted as sponsor for her child, which was baptized eoram. The man not having appeared before the session of Logie Buchan was directed to attend in that parish.

      Decedant: Falconer Cruickshank, widow of William Cruickshank, molecatcher, at 12:00 a.m. at Blackdyke, Kinknockie, aged 79 years, daughter of George Shepherd, ploughman and Barbara Shepherd, maiden surname Stephenson, both deceased. Cause of death, disease of the heart for a number of years and hemiplegia for 18 days. In attendance was Andrew Robertson, son-in-law, usual residence Westerton, Cruden.
